By contracting with IPS, the Health Plan provides a cost savings to their provider network because
the provider is no longer responsible for claim submissions for medical devices. More importantly, IPS takes
responsibility for payment of the manufacturer’s invoice. Thus, IPS and the Health Plan provide the devices at no
cost to the provider. IPS can interface directly with hospitals and other healthcare providers to create a
streamlined and consistent claims submission process for the Health Plan, as well as capturing meaningful data.
